The Organization
Missionary Church Hawaiʻi is the island expression of the Missionary Church denomination, comprising a dedicated network of congregations across the state. Moanalua Gardens Missionary Church in Honolulu sits near the center of this network, where Pastor Cal Chinen serves as the Hawaii District Leader.
The Engagement
Deep Roots: Michele's relationship with Pastor Cal Chinen is fundamentally built on a long-standing personal friendship. Over the years, she has been a frequent speaker at his church functions.
Keynote Leadership: When the denomination gathered for its Hawaiʻi regional conference in March 2025, Pastor Cal invited Michele to deliver the keynote addresses at both the Kauaʻi and Oʻahu events.
Core Message: Her messages during these gatherings drew on the Brave Series and the "Dream Big Journals," communicating her Brave Purpose message about stepping confidently into what God has already placed in front of you.
Broad Network: Beyond Moanalua Gardens, Michele maintains strong working relationships with approximately five other lead pastors across Missionary Church Hawaiʻi.
The Outcome
These pastors also belong to the Transform Our World Hawaiʻi chapter, gathering weekly to ensure their relationships remain active and current between engagements. Every one of these leaders is a strong supporter of Releasing Generations.
