The Organization
Missio Nexus is the largest North American mission network, an organization whose own members are missionary organizations. It serves the agencies that send and support workers around the world, which puts it at a hinge point in global missions. Ted Esler is its President and CEO.
The Engagement
Michele and Ted Esler have a friendship that runs in both directions. Ted invited Michele to keynote the Missio Nexus Mission Leaders Conference in Florida in September 2023, where she represented Releasing Generations to a room full of mission leaders. Two years earlier, Ted had come the other way: he served as a workshop speaker at Michele's 2021 ReThink Creativity Conference. His book Innovation Crisis makes the case for creativity in the mission field, which is the same ground ReThink Creativity works.
The Outcome
Ted remains a supporter and a networker for the Brave Series, opening doors into the mission world that Michele would not otherwise have. He also endorsed her Brave Purpose work:
